Austine Ochieng Dieto's Bio:

Austine is an Assistant County Commissioner in charge of Coordination of National Government Functions and spearheading National Policy under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government. He presents a dynamic set of skills, competencies and working experience from both the Kenyan government and Non-profit sectors. He holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Sociology (Community Development and Project Planning option), a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Sociology and a host of professional qualifications in: Public Policy Administration, Accounting, Social Research Analysis, Strategic planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Disaster Management, Community policing, Peace and Security Management and is currently pursuing a Post-graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. He is a life member of the Kenya Red Cross Society and holds a professional membership with the African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPM) as well as the Kenya Institute of Social Work (KISW). He has published a number of academic articles on cross cutting socio-economic development issues. He has also presented papers at a number of Conferences that have greatly contributed to intellectual and policy development at both national and International spectrum. He is quite effective in communication, public speaking, coaching and advocacy having convened over one hundred public participation meetings and nurtured a number of community-based organizations.
